Ever since the fateful day in 1971 when a University of Oregon track coach named Bill Bowerman poured rubber into his wife's waffle iron, technological innovation has been the spark that lights Nike's fire. This guy used to count grams when hand-building shoes for his athletes. He even weighed the ink on U of O singlets. Everything was an opportunity in his mind. Overall Job Purpose : -
- Responsible for account transaction recording, month-end / year-end closing. Ensure that the accounting entries are in compliance with local tax regulation and Nike policies. Oversee accounting transactions to ensure that they are correctly reported and recorded
- Manages the companys closing accounting entries, provide preliminary reviews and make appropriate adjustments to the companys financial statements to ensure that they are accurate, reliable and in compliance with accounting policies, standards, related tax laws and regulations and are timely submitted.
- Verifies accounting documents, i.e., Request For Payment (PV), Journal Voucher (JV), to ensure correctness and reliability of information and in compliance with the companys regulation and procedures.
- Verifies tax report for all branches, i.e., Input V.A.T., Output V.A.T., Withholding Tax 1, 3, 53 and 54, to ensure that they are in compliance with related tax law.
- Prepare month/quarterly/year end reports to be submitted to sub-regional office and APHQ finance.
- Liaises with the Revenue Department in regards to all local tax and regulations and corporate income tax return.
- Liaises with external auditors in concluding year-end entries adjustments.
- Reviews inter-company reconciliation accounts; prepares Inter-Company Charge Statement (ICCS) and coordinates with related NIKE units.
- Reviews fixed asset records against physical assets.
- Monitors stock transactions in terms of stock receipt, stock adjust, stock level, physical count and related inventory account.
- Maintains the company charge of account and accounting natures.
Qualification : -
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- Team Leader ho has experience of the bring together & Leading a team of accounting professionals.
- Good communication & ability to plan ahead will be key factors for success
- A person with 5-8 years of experience in medium size multinational at least 2-3 years of experience in leading & managing team of accounting
- Well versed with Tax and law
- SAP user experience is desirable
